Aztec Tattoos

One thing that’s true about tattooing is that there is no bias in it. Anyone can get any type of tattoo they want. Since tattoos are considered a form of expression, it’s absolutely fine for anyone to get whatever type of tattoo they want.

There are, however, some tattoos that are more popular with some groups of people than with others. Aztec tattoos, for instance, are actually very popular for those who are of Hispanic origin.

Many people who are Hispanic have some sort of Aztec ancestor, and getting Aztec tattoos allows that person to celebrate their historic past.

One of the great things about Aztec tattoos is that there are a wide array of different types of tattoos you can get which are considered to be Aztec.

For instance, you can get a feathered serpent. This is the symbol of the god Quetzalcoatl. He was the main god for the Aztecs for over 2000 years, which means that there are a large number of people getting Aztec tattoos who opt to get this type of tattoo.

You don’t have to get Quetzalcoatl tattooed on yourself in order to have an Aztec style tattoo. Many other things also count, such as daggers, which are considered a holy symbol, and designs of Aztec temples.

Some of the Aztec tattoo designs are a bit dark, mainly due to the type of tribe these people were. They did what they had to do to survive and that included offering sacrifices to their gods, which is why the dagger is considered to be a holy symbol.

However, there is no shame in being proud of your Aztec heritage, as they were the innovators of their time, creating things that no other tribe could, and even going so far as to chart the stars!
