Here we see that the root of all is the heart.
Rendered here from a drawing by the wearer, it shows that at the root we will find our hearts.
Using red and black, the artist has been careful in showing a more realistic heart while blending upwards into the smaller outgrowths of the tree.
Higher up are the fruit of knowledge represented as apples. The artist has used shading and fine line techniques to fill out the branches, keeping in mind that some more color will be added later.
Overall it is a really nice representation of the owner’s idea and a great use of the back as a canvas.
